Each piece of Kelcey's jewelry is one of a kind
Kelcey's love affair with glass began when she was only ten years old, making leaded windows in Chicago during the snowy winter. This led over the years to mosaics and jewelry making. Ten years ago, before our sailing trip, she began to fuse glass platters and bowls with a girlfriend in her California garage/studio. Once on the boat she realized that she needed an outlet for her creativity and a small kiln was purchased. Many earrings, pendants and bracelets later and many splinters of glass in all our feet, Starlight Glass Works was born.
Trading our glass jewelry for baskets, fans, carvings and south pacific pearls led to outlets scattered throughout the Caribbean, United States, Columbia, Panama, French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji and now New Zealand where we have relocated since obtaining residency. Soon we will be building a home and studio in Golden Bay, at the north end of the Southern Island where we will expand our work to once again to include larger art forms including sculptural and architectural art glass..
