Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. – James Allen |
Kelcey Chandler-Yates Born in Buffalo, New York, Kelcey was raised on Grand Island. She attended high school in Lake Forest, Illinois, and in 1976 attended St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa, where she graduated in 1980 with majors in both Art and Biology. While attending St. Ambrose she spent a semester at sea aboard the S.S. Universe as an assistant ship photographer. It was during these travels around the world that her interest in underwater photography began. She has photographed the undersea world in the far corners of our globe including such exotic places as Fiji, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, Yap, Truck Lagoon, Palau, Galapagos Islands, Cocos Island, Moorea, Maldives, Hawaiian Islands, St. Vincent, St. Barts, St. Kitts, and Saba. In 2000 she left for a 5- to 8-year sailing and diving circumnavigation with her husband and sons aboard their catamaran, Lady Starlight. Learn more about their adventure by going to About our Journey and News From the Boat. Kelcey is available for freelance photo work on a limited basis.
