After a few weeks on the water we are ready to move on to the Tuamotu-we have been waiting for a week for the wind to change to a favorable direction as we have Jamie and Brad Rix arriving in ten days followed by Becky and Cory Gabrielson. I had to buy tickets here as they were more expensive in the states so we are locked into going to Fakarava to pick them all up-from there we will sail to other islands.

Here in Tahiti everything seemed to break from the microwave to the toilet! We replaced them all at premium prices here in these over priced French isles but it all should last us another few years before corrosion eats up something else. Even though we had a friend open the boat weekly the humidity here eats up electronics-the toilet was just a pipe and after 6 years of use I guess I'd feel clogged too!!

Great provisioning here as the French provide well for the island even though it is all expensive-today I saw a German group of 20 year olds buy a few things at the store-220 dollars and they were shocked!-welcome to paradise!!
