June 25th 2004-

Yesterday I approached our friend Onofu with my normal, belly out tummy-to-tummy rub and made comment about how the baby in her womb had dropped. She was not due until the second week in July. Little John Jr. had other ideas!!-Arriving at the hospital with one foot literally in the world. Little John was fully emerged with in 20 minuets. The only controversy was his gender-the doctor told Jim he was a girl but with a little bit of inspection we believe there was a rather large mistake!! I confirmed the gender today when after a rather hair raising ride in our friend Ongo's car, we delivered breakfast to Onofu. It began when we asked for the keys. I was handed a key chain with a tweezers, two house keys and a rather large metal probe of some sort. -Just stick it into the metal thing to the right of the wheel and turn it on, we were told! OK>>>>> so once we figured out how to get the door opened that's exactly what we did!! And off we went into the rain and when we put the wipers on it was rubber pieces and water going this way and that.! Of course with us three hot heads in the car the windows fogged quickly-defrost-what is a defrost button!! Well there is one but nothing happened! And then the windows-well lets just say lowering them was no problem-raising them we had to jiggle and juggle!-and then there was the escaping from the car. The doors would not open even after fiddleing with the auto"lock buttons. Finally pulling and pushing simultaneously I was able to open my door and then give Jim his freedom!!
